Fantastic Fan Cover Motor

The female spline on the cover lift motor is stripped so that the cover doesn't go up. Looks like a new motor is needed. Any suggestions for warranty, best price etc?

  • Parts ordered. Motor $33, new lift arm recommended $0 and new cover $0. S&H $25

Good service, parts to ship today.
  • So far they are covering my fan and replacements at 10 years out but are starting to balk. That's fine, everyone needs to make a living

I think it's Sharon you want to talk to at the factory
  • 2 years ago, the gear on my Fantastic Fan stripped. I was way beyond warranty and I called their number. Pleasant person on the other end, got a new setup in 3 days. Kinda expensive, but....

I vote for great customer service.

I didn't like the way ours operated. I think the problem was actually caused by turning the battery off between trips. Dropped the cover, unplugged the motor, taped the bare connector. Then put two 5/16" lock washers (not for locking, just as spacers) under the knob. Tightened the knob screw. The vent and I get along much better now.
  • Check your warranty - if it's expired they will do nothing.
They used to have great service but after they were bought out they went down to toilet. Their product quality has suffered as well.
