Fantastic fan doesn't run on higher speeds ????

I put my 5th wheel away last fall with no issues. I put the Fantastic fan wireless remote in the drawer.

When I took it out of storage this spring, I found the batteries in the remote to be dead. I had some batteries in the drawer. I installed them. The fan then worked at lower speeds/temperatures, but not at higher speeds or temperatures. For example, when in manual mode, it will work at all speeds up to 35%, but not at any speeds above that.

Why is this happening ?

  • Does the fan run at higher speeds using the manual controls?

The first obvious step is to make sure the remote terminals are very clean and the second step is to install new batteries. Third step is to check the rig battery voltage and then call Fantastic.
  • Had the dead batteries leaked? If they did, they probably damaged the remote.

X2 Their system when I called for help worked this ...Left message and I was called back within 2 hours and a very knowledgeable person helped me out. Helps to have model and info handy.

Please post back to what the problem was when fixed.
  • Too much guesswork here...

remote may be bad. Why it drained the batteries. I have used a floor fan with the identical motor for many thousands of hours day and night, so the thought of you having a "bad motor" raises my eyebrows.
