Just wanted some real-life stories. I know I can find all the amps vs. battery life calculation thingies (or ask DH who is an electrician to figure it out for me) but I wanted to see what happened in the real world.
Plus DH wants nothing to do with setting up any solar or extra batteries in MY TC! LOL. So when I ask about how to calculate things his standard response is, "The battery is fine. It held a charge all winter. Just don't be stupid and you'll have plenty for a few days". This is followed by, "Stop looking at RV.net.... I don't have time to make the TC into a &^%* hobby - some of those guys get carried away. It's fine how it is. We don't need to spend any money on it". And finally, the winner, "Look, if you really NEED that much power we'll just stay at a CG and use shore power".
He doesn't share my interest in seeing how long we could boondock if we got set up better :) Being on the East coast there aren't a ton of boondocking opportunities that we would use for more than 3-4 days anyway.
