There is no information about the outboard motor on your boat. Is it fuel injected? If so, chances are it has a high quality (10 micron or better) existing inline filter. Why do you think that the fuel in the aux tank is contaminated?
In recent years, almost every outboard motor I've seen has some type of inline fuel filtration system between the tank on the boat and the outboard motor. Have you ever serviced/replaced the on board fuel filter? Why not use the fuel filter that you already have? If you KNOW that the fuel in your aux tank is contaminated, you could change the existing filter. (that's what it is for)
If there is water/ethanol in the fuel, a particulate filter, most likely, won't help anyway.
