The EZ Red says it is temp compensating, but of course it is true that it is cheap. I'll definitely look for a better one!
NinerBikes, I agree the Trojans don't need a backup, but I figure since I have it, I may as well bring it when I dry camp. If it's in good condition, it should give me another 35-40 usable Ah. The goal is minimum generator run times. As I've said in previous threads, I love the idea of solar, but we tend to camp in such shady campgrounds, I really think I'd get very limited benefit most of the time.
Ed_Gee, yea my tender is just a trickle charger, couple of amps at most. Hopefully once I get the MegaWatt, I can get the voltage high enough to get it up to 100%, then put it on the tender.
