Mex, I may have to break out a functioning irrigation timer to really enable the wall wart. I'll have to check the cycle parameters on the timer but the old peg-in-a-hole timer should spread out to at least a week.
Now you've got me thinking--the irrigation timer is probably 24VDC output. Addition of a voltage divider/regulator may get yet another charger for the Westend laboratory, lol.
I should note that not all my charger experiments meet with success. I had high hopes that a computer power supply might make a competent charger but the amps are not there for full charging and voltage is regulated to just over 12V. Too bad, as the computer supplies are ubiquitous.
Just wondering what a wall wart is? Irrigation timer is a good idea, but I think they are 24VAC though.
