Been using this for years, don't need the meter. - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerDo something useful :)
LIST the cigarette lighter chargers YOU know of that have 2 charger ports, 5-amperes charging potential. Forget about the meter, that's icing on the cake. - EsoxLuciusExplorerFinally?
- JiminDenverExplorer III have a S4, it does charge up fast. Much faster than on the car plug. I'll have to see if the charger would make a difference on my one touch.

I run $10 from Amazon or Ebay Extended batteries on every Samsung Galaxy phone I've ever owned, because I want to go 2 to 4 days between needing a recharge. I hate being tethered to a charger for any length of time during the day. Shut the phone off and let it charge at night every few days, kind of makes this device superfluous.
This is what happens when you stay tethered to your smartphone 24 hours a day.
I don't like carrying too much in my pockets and prefer not to be bothered with phone calls at night, so I simply put it on charger in the night. Moreover - since my work is neither off-grid nor require staying tethered to the phone during a day, I often shut it off for a few hours during a day, or it's on stand-by and draws very little, or it's sitting in the charger on my desk. As a result, I only have to put it on charger once in 2 or 3 nights. - NinerBikesExplorerMex needs a Galaxy S4 that comes with the 2 amp charger and uses it. Charges up in full in an hour, about 2 hours with an Extended Battery. I donated his first smart phone to him, the Galaxy S2.
Maybe someone that's been helped by him a time or three should step up and donate one of their Galaxy S4's with a known good battery in it and the factory charger. Just be sure to press the factory reset button on it before you send it his way. A 16 gig SC memory card also in it would be a nice touch too, for storage.

$14.99 after spending $99 dollars for a year's worth of shipping. But good point Learjet. It's the device that counts. I have a 5-amp wall charger. But standard cig-lighter chargers are a joke. 5-days to recharge a Samsung Galaxy?
Mex and his new toys... Always at the leading edge of something... I only wish I knew - of what :)
Use your 5A wall charger. My Android HTC takes 4 hours on wall charger. I have no idea how many days it would take on a standard cig charger, could be forever - because some tasks draw more power than USB will pull via standard cig charger. But I'm home every night, even when "home" is a trailer with no grid power. Wall charger and a small inverter, that's all that is needed.
Btw, you don't have to spend $99 to get free shipping on Amazon. All you need is to place $35 order that would include this $14.99 charger - if you do have to have this toy. - hbskiExplorer
- MEXICOWANDERERExplorerYour phone *should* have it's own built-in controller inside. That said, APPLE stuff is cranky. I would check first with the company.
- GjacExplorer IIIWould that 5 amp charge shorten the battery like of an I phone? I think my charger at home is 1 amp and the 12V USB charger is .5 amps.
