The bad legacy is just that, a past tense matter well over a decade ago... Firestone’s reputation was seriously at stake (now owned by Bridgestone), so they overly compensated by building this uber robust tire - on their website the AT’s are classified as light-duty/commercial, the only tire I shopped that referenced ‘commercial’...As far as longivity goes, I’ve experienced no mileage difference between their AT’s and Generals or Michilens - about 40k miles without any difficulty... My seasoned experience (now on second set) is that you will not be disappointed....
