- Itching2goExplorer IIWe put Transforce AT's on our previous truck, and also on our previous fiver. Absolutely no problems. When I picked up our new/used 3500, I put HT's on it. Going to need new tires on our current fiver, and will likely purchase Transforce as well for that.
As for AT's versus HT's, I wanted the more aggressive tread for the old truck as it was 2WD. I was very surprised at how little the tires 'sang' at speed on the highway. The new/used truck is 4WD, so chose HT's for that one.
Overall, when comparing prices, we found the Firestone Transforce LT's to be one of the best bang for the buck out there. - dspencerExplorerI just purchased 4 of them for my Silverado 1500. I have 3 friends that have used them for years and always get over 70K on miles on them. I'm hoping for similar luck.
- mowinExplorerI have 12k on my Ram 3500 SRW. The stock Firestones are 3/4's worn. I've rotated them twice. They have even wear, just dont last. Oh, and I drive like a old man. So no tire spinning here.
- greenenvy1ExplorerHave run the HTs and the ATs. On my second set of ATs now. Get about 120-140,000 kms out of them on my dually. Truck is towing 90% of the time.
- chevorExplorerI never ran the tire but ran the similar Bridgestone Duravis M773II and I'm not a fan of those. Wears faster than other tires I have run and once inside tread wears flat tires spin easily.
- camperforlifeExplorerI have the HT with 25K on them. I keep reading about them being a high mileage tires but I seriously doubt mine will last another 25K. They are wearing even but faster than I want.
- HannibalExplorerI have a set on our F250 with highway tread and raised outlined white letters. Very smooth ride for a 3/4 ton pickup. One tire has no weights on the rim. The others have very little. I'll buy them again when the time comes.
- wintersunExplorer III had a set on my GM truck and they handled well and wear about average (not as good as Michelin LT tires). I replaced them with Nitto tires to get an additional 1100 lbs. of load capacity at the rear wheels.
- gtsumExplorerI have them on my 2014 ram 3500 and they seem to do well. Have 11k miles on them so far
- GrooverExplorer IIOverall I have had better luck with Firestone tires than Michelin, Goodyear, Cooper or Khumo. I don't recall a Firestone ever failing other than simply wearing out. I have them on a couple of vehicles and a trailer right now. I believe that Bridgestone owns Firestone. I have wondered how similar their tires are.
