The SG may also differ with hydrometers. Is the SG measured using temperature compensation?
FWIW, my GC26V's from Sam's charged slowly the first few charges. SG rose from 1.270 to 1.30 over the course of a few charge cycles. I am using a temp compensated hydrometer but not a Freas brand. I have my solar controller set at 14.4 but temp compensation brings it up to a maximum 14.8 in the Winter.
