Maybe I should get another one of that style". I have had the curvy one from Walmart and it always showed good SG. I then acquired a glass one with the floating balls it was also off. When I put the hydrometer in distilled water it read 1300. That was the tip off the hydrometer is not accurate. If yours does not read 1 in distilled water I would not trust it.
