YES the recall box can be reset using a magnet BUT the real question is WHY did it trip?
The recall is to protect from high heat source (Fire Potential).
The sensor installed in upper section of flue is set to trip at 700*F. When it trips ALL power source is shut-off.
Now some of the recall boxes have had failures causing unnecessary trips.
The faulty recall box will be replaced with newer version without cost.
You should have it inspected/tested......did it trip on high-high temp or due to faulty box??
