I think that the emergency brake on your RV is a drum and pads on the driveshaft. Crawl under and the adjustment should be apparent.
Changing out the pump is a pretty straight forward task. Probably one bolt that it pivots on for adjustment and another to secure the adjustment. Two hoses.
