Flexible Hose For Water Pump

FWIW: I just replaced my connection from my fresh water tank to my pump. I use the 1/2 inch clear vinyl tubing and the plastic barbed fitting at the water pump. Two things I learned, the plastic fitting from Home Depot leaked because the rubber insert did not match my water pump while the plastic fitting that looked the same from Lowes did work. When you slide the vinyl tubing over the barbed fitting the OD increases slightly. The 1/2 inch PEX clamp rings from Home Depot would not fit over the tubing. The 1/2 inch PEX clamp rings from Lowes are a tiny bit larger in ID before clamping and fit perfectly over the tubing and clamped properly with my PEX clamp tool.
