It just isn't the cost of the batteries.....I factor in what I believe a battery failure nightmare is really costing me. A ruined vacation for example. Mena, I believe has U.S. Battery L-16's. Some L-16's cost three times as much and will last 4 times longer. 20+ years ago I opted for batteries that cost more than my new 4X4 pickup truck. The truck has since been dispersed into cans for Spinach, maybe a fire extinguisher bottle or two, a hand railing on a Fire Escape in L.A. and maybe a few can openers.
It's what suits the buyer is what counts. Some folks don't give a darn about their batteries - me either; Let's go get a beer.
