follow up to "Existing Wiring in Ceiling"

Yesterday I posted the above topic and received great feedback from the group.

I planned on installing a new Fantastic Fan in our fiver Eagle's bedroom ceiling replacing the current screen vent. I was concerned about where I could get electricity to run the new fan.

Advice received as to remove interior shroud/sleeve which may expose wiring. Did that and found only 2x4 framing....no wires.

This a.m. I sent an email to Jayco requesting electrical and plumbing schematics of my trailer.

Within less than 1 hour...all of my requests were received via email.

WOW. You talk about service! I know for fact that I couldn't have gotten this type of cooperation from the local dealership!

THANKS AGAIN JAYCO! I WILL BUY ANOTHER FIVER

I had the same thing in my trailer. There was a light in the ceiling close to the vent. I drilled a hole in the 2X4 and fished the wire to the light out with a coat hanger and tapped into it. I had the Fantastic Fan with the remote so did not wire a wall witch in.

    Exactly what I did.

Yes, there can be 2x4 around the vent nest.

OP - the schematics will be of little use if you can't access wire nuts buried deep in the ceiling. See what you can find around the ceiling light, I wrote in the last post of that 1st thread.
