Valid point.
My laptop has a 240 watt charger, too much to run through a cigarette lighter. I always assume worst case usage when hooking something up.

You might be surprised, i sure was, i actually checked my meters (thought they were broke), i ran this inverter and 2 laptops running a cpu burn in test (all cores maxed out) I NEVER broke 10amps dc, laptops were a t440s and a toshiba P775-S7215. At idle they were under 4 amps dc
