I think you are right, but as a non professional and getting more forgetful as I get older I get the free ones from HF. I have a friend that is a professional and I use his Fluke to adjust my HF multimeters (there is a small pot inside for DC voltage). One meter I left outside and it rained on it, another I pumped gas on it while checking the fuel pump on the generator, I gave several away to other Rvers that didn't have one, another I probably left on a stump next to Roy B's. If I ruined or lost a Fluke that I paid over $100 for I would feel really bad. I'm sure most on here are more carful than I.

I got the CRAFTSMAN version of this from Sears a few years back for around $60 and it was 400AC AMPS and 400DC AMPS.

Now I can't find it. Probably left it on a tree stump on one of my OFF-ROAD Camping runs..

A very handy meter to use by just clamping around the wire.
