I recently read a book on boondocking by Bill and Jan Moeller and it was extremely helpful in understanding about power budgeting and how to calculate battery storage and charging system requirements. I have dealt with electrical systems on sailboats for many years in the pre-solar age and this book was a very well written book with lots of information covering RV electrics. Half the book deals with power in depth. Highly recommended as a starting point.

Thanks! I can't be the only one that does not use a computer to get my daily RVnet fix. Some of the stuff people post here, is really interesting. But they should remember when they see the spot on the mountain, point at it and exclaim; "There it is!" Some of us are not able to see it for the forest of the trees. When I did a google search on the authors, I found more than 6 books on RVing and a book on listing obituaries.
