forward interior lights do not turn on with light switches

If you are talking about the 12v lights, each light has its own switch on the fixture. That switch has to be on for the wall switch to work. If you are talking about only the switches on the fixture and the lights not working I would lead to a fuse blown. Track down the 12v fuse pannel and look for the blown fuse.
