If the blockage is after the "freezer coil" how does the ammonia gravity feed back to the boiler? Curious minds would like to know.

A Blockage is not a full restriction. It stops the normal flow of ammonia to cool the lower section. The freezer section is before the blockage and will usually get pretty cold. Cold enough that a novice would not realize that it is not cold to spec. Doug

Make sure the fridge door gaskets are actually sealing. I temp-fixed my sister’s by stuffing small scraps of paper towels in behind the gasket edge and it helped quite a bit with their warm fridge.

Freezer will NOT cool if any yellow residue is evident.......
Same cooling unit so a leak affects BOTH freezer and food compartment

How long has fridge be ON ....and how long did you let it COOL Down before PACKING it with FOOD????

Look around the back side for any signs of yellow residue that would be left behind if any of the ammonia solution leaked.

The refrigerator is cooled with spillover from the freezer. Until the freezer is down to temp, there won't be much spillover.
