You have nothing to lose by moving it up. Since you are reaching the low 30's at night, I'm thinking that you are just experiencing the units ambient delta. I live in the central valley of CA where it gets 100 degrees often in the summer. My freezer always seems to perform adequately but the frig lags terribly in the heat. I've started bringing an ice chest so that all the drinks reside there and thus make for less opening of the frig door throughout the day.
