fuel cap

Does anyone know where i can get a replacement fuel cap for a 2000 watt inverter champion generator?I am about to drill a hole in mine to do an aux tank setup and gravity feed but i wont to make sure i have an extra cap in place before i make a mistake.

    joe0508, can you let us know what kind of extended run setup you are using? Is it a system that is commercially available or a home brew setup? What are you using for the upper tank?

    Call Champion and order direct. The couple times I called them to order parts, I found them to be very helpful, and the parts cost less than I expected.
    They have a warehouse in California they ship the parts from.
    Should be the 1800 number in your owners manual.

    Could also try Supergen Products out of New Jersey.

    Type "where to buy a Champion generator fuel cap?" into Google and lots of sources will pop up. Do you have the owner's manual, there should be a phone # in there to call for parts.
