Fuel problems

Still having problems trying to figure out why electronic fuel pump is not pumping all the time! I have found what appears to be an oil pressure sensor/ fuel pump cut off switch! There is power going to it! I need another one but can not find one! Also does anyone know if there is relay!Motor home will run fine for about half mile then shut off! Will restart and run after pouring gas into carb! This is happening on a 1986 Holiday Rambler with a 454 in it! It seems as if pump relay or the pressure switch is bad!

I had a car once that had that problem Would not build up enough oil pressure when cranking.. had to wire in an override button. Relay was good (Unless there was a 2nd one that was failing) and once started it ran .. Sort of but it was OLD and on it's last (over 200,000 miles on a 1992 engine is not good)

Current car is of similar age but later vintage and the newer engines last longer. So far it runs great only issue is yet another pressure switch circuit. Switch working fine. wires bad.. Just got the last bad wire dealt with Christmas EVE (Yippie) so on Christmas day 100% normal function (yippie #2) very happy.
  • I told him where it was on his other posting.
Left side of engine comparment mounted to a brace.
  • You write its a common failure
Do you know where it is located
How it is numbered or marked
If so post the info so he can replace it with a new one
It seems he has a problem with research and finding it himself

    P30 fuel pump relay research
  • I wrote in your other thread that the fuel pump replay is a common failure item and is replaced when ever the pump is. Relays are cheap. So just replace it as a precaution.
