I am not sure why you would do this. If you need to cook you most likely need the propane anyway.
But the answer is, unless you have an all electric furnace, NO your furnace depends on the propane to create the heat. It only uses the electric to run the fan motor and the switching on and off of the propane and the furnace via the thermostat.
