It CAN run off ac only if you take the battery out.........but your converter will be changing the ac to dc to control the furnace and it will burn propane. It's DC control power and propane fuel. The dc can come from your battery or the converter. Some rv's vary as to running without a battery so check first. I'm just speaking of some.
