ALL 12 volt items run from the converter or battery supplied 12 volt power.
As long as you are plugged in the converter supplies about 13.6 volts and no power comes from the battery. Converter keeps the battery charged. Battery by itself is about 12.6 max and will drift down to about 12.0 volts when it will be looking for a recharge.
