My sons trailer battery is shot and not even connected. He never boondocks so he doesn't even worry about replacing it. He plugs the 7 way in when he hitches up and runs the tongue jack. When he gets to a campground he plugs in and sets up. The slide goes out, the lights come on, the water pump works, the frig works etc and they are all getting 12 volts......off the converter. 120 ac converted to 12 dc.
That's the difference between a converter and a battery charger. I have never had a BATTERY charger that will do that. Converters are different and they will do that.
I'm not being a smart a-- up above. :)
No trailer battery = NO BRAKES.
Your insurance Co and an interested LEO would pay a lot of attention to this little detail!!
