Let's not drift off topic here guys. It is noted that the trailer needs a battery for the safety brake system to work. The OP got. Enough already.
The op came to the conclusion that the heater will work with out a battery but now knows that it is 12 volts powered. With the questions that he asked and the various examples that we have offered hopefully he is seeing a bigger picture of his rig and it's systems. Pulling other systems into the explanations may help him even more. Buy expanding on the brake/battery safety system, someone up above also realized how that system works when he is transporting his rig from home to storage. All input and examples are good as long as people leave snippy comments out. If any conversation continues on in a civil manner and some dont want to keep reading, they are free to not click on it. Hi, rjxj, last nights discussion did give me a much better understanding of my power system in my trailer. You guys were great! And, although I never would have thought to ask about a battery/brakes relationship, that topic is crystal clear to me now as well. I also read the 12 Volt Side of Life article. Really appreciated that as well. Thanks to everyone for their contributions. On to my next topic.
