I quieted our Dometic substantially by eliminating the dump discharge opening. It is supposed to be for rapid cooling but that is where all the noise comes from.

I removed the cover and put a piece of foam in the opening. I used duct tape (the real foil stuff) to seal it and put the cover back on. The noise reduction was amazing.
