Gas light on fridge

If you have it on Auto, you may not have gas to the fridge. check to be sure you have your tanks and regulators working. Turn on the stove and bleed the gas lines. Then try the fridge again. If still not working, check for spider webs or little nests in the lines. Good Luck.

Correct... bleed. Takes awhile as refers don't use much. Electric uses a lot of power.

Well if the GAS light is ON, then you either don’t have the auto switch on OR you don’t have power (120 volts) to the refer. If the switch is on AUTO then check the outlet to see if the GFCI is tripped.

Which Model is fridge?

When you state ".......everything is running but the gas light is lit on the fridge." WHAT do you mean?
Do you mean the GAS Burner is ON?
Do you mean that the GAS LED is ON.......manually selected GAS (not in AUTO)?
Do you mean CHECK LIGHT is ON?

In AUTO fridge will swap to GAS if AC Power is not detected......outlet not hot, blown 5A fuse on circuit board etc.

GAS Light...LED on if GAS is selected manually...place in AUTO

CHECK Light ON if burner fails to light/prove it lit.....try several attempts due to lack of propane flow not being established after storage period

Check your batteries - the eyebrow control on the frig uses 12V power, not electric. You would not be able to change the mode unless you have 12v power. I think most read your post wrong and should re-read it again. You should keep it set on auto and it should stay on electric power when you are plugged in. If it's not the battery charge, it could be the eyebrow control itself, or your circuit board. You could try to reset the circuit board by unplugging from the outside compartment both the 110 and 12v connections. Wait and few minutes and plug in 12v, then the 110 and see if you can set it on auto/ac.

That's a reasonable question, and it comes down to the wording. The light is powered by the 12V control circuitry, which has to be present for the fridge (this and most current models) to operate at all, whether it be on gas or AC electric power. The "power" referred to is 120V AC power, which if present and if the fridge is set to auto will power the fridge; otherwise, the gas burner will power it and the gas light come on.

I have a newer domestic if the top button is on auto and and lit up push down on gas button and the gas light should go out and be on electric from the way it looks on picture on fridge gas is on with bottom up.

Okay, sorry for not being more clear AND for calling my Norcold a Dometic. The fridge is a Norcold.
The fridge is running well now on propane even though it is plugged into shore power. I checked the fuse which is okay. I don't see a GFI. Both the inside light and the control panel lights are on.
