If the batts have a charging amps restriction, you need a charger under that max amps or else a charger with amps settings like a typical portable with say 40, 20, 4 amps settings.
Ran into that with a single 100ah AGM that says 27 amps max, but had a 55 amp converter. Oops. So only used a charger at the 20 amp setting. Then got a second same 100ah AGM so now am good to 54 amps for the pair I decided that meant the 55 amper was now close enough to use. :) Don't tell the batts they are getting 55 instead of 54 or who knows what will happen?
