I've not seen a 12v Deep cycle gel cell other than an AGM, but there's several blank spaces in the question. The DOD delta here is 30%, so if you are proposing to charge either of them in 2.5 hrs for example, the charge time is obviously going to be considerably different. You also didn't mention the capacity of either battery you were looking at. Either way need to return what you pulled out of either battery. Personally I would always go with what can be drawn down the farthest without nuking the battery.
