I can set the voltage at 14.4V on my surplus acid Telecom 150 AH AGM battery, it weighs 105 pounds, with very, very thick heavy lead plates, and the max amount of amps I have ever seen it take was 21 amps. That's all she wrote. So I don't push it. Charges great and magnificently with a 150W solar panel and charge controller set at 14.4V at the terminals. Gets 20 amps in the morning every 5 or 6 days at 14.4, for a couple of hours on the generator, to top charge it.
This is not the kind of battery you run a big inverter off of, keep the discharge rate low on this surplus Telecom battery.
