Reason, I ask this, you should always turn off all loads/disconnect breaker before starting generator. After running (to allow warm up), then introduce loads to the unit.

You were absolutely correct................I am a bit red faced, but I had been starting the generator with the air conditioner on...........AND THAT DOESNT WORK!!! I have had the motorhome for 3 years and I must not have ever done that previously???
