I just spoke with a man who replaced a Kwikee motor with a Ford power window motor. Late 1990's Taurus left front if I remember. The window regulators in cars are mirror images of each other, left to right, so there are left and right motors.
For awhile, Ford had a slip clutch arrangement in the motor gearbox. It'd fail and motor'd run but gears not move. The Dorman "HELP" line (at many auto supply stores) offers a kit to restore the clutch area and get it working again. So sometimes it doesn't even call for a full motor, just the kit. Take one apart and you'll see that hex nuts, bearing balls, pieces of rod, lots of things will work. Kit's just easier. And true, it's not a slip clutch after that.
