I agree.
A 400-500 watt load on a 7000 watt just started is not a concern that I have read about. So a 5% load should do no harm. I would like it to run for a couple minutes before hitting it with a 7000 watt load however.
A gas generator should warm up about for the same time you let your car warm up before you pop the clutch. If it is going to be turning at 5000 RPM when you do you may want it to warm a bit. :B
