Generator Battery Question

Question

Our previous RVs were TTs and I had a Honda genny to recharge the batteries. We now have a Class C, Winnebago Aspect 26A with a built in Onan 4000. It appears that the genny uses the house batteries to power its starter.  If those batteries are run down, how do I start the Genny? There is a switch to use the house batteries to start the chassis engine but none to use the chassis battery to start the genny. Am I missing something?

Turn on the vehicle engine. The alternator will send a charge to the batteries. After about 5 minutes, start the generator. Then turn the engine off.

That battery switch will connnect the batteries both ways.
