There could be the chance the Low Crank warning is still right. Are all the battery cable connections clean and tight? Is this genset in a coach? If so, try starting the genny with your road engine running. If it's in a trailer you could still try to assist those batteries with a start pack or jumper cables from your truck.
I'd just hate to see you tear into the genset when cranking voltage wasn't quite up to snuff.
The generator is in a toyhauler, so I'll try using my truck battery. I do have two 6V (GC2) batteries that are fully charged and less than a year old.
