I sometimes run my eu2000i on propane. Maybe that behaves different than NG, maybe not. I've found that it's really easy to over-do the priming and it takes a bunch of starter pulls to clear the situation. Make sure the choke is off. Once I learned to use only a quick blip on the primer the starting is pretty reliable.
