New to the forum and I am looking for information about how to run my 13500 BTU roof mounted A/C unit on my travel trailer from a generator. I am using 2 Champion 2000 watt inverter generators with a parallel kit. I have read here and at several other forums that it can be done and that it cannot be done using these generators. My luck has been that once the a/c unit is started while being powered using the generators the circuit breaker kicks off and the overload protection light comes on the generators and they shut off. Are there any tricks, techniques, modifications to make this work? We do a good bit of dry or "boon-dock" camping and typically where we go a/c is not needed. It would be nice to know if its possible to run to keep the wife and kids happy if we ever got a hot humid night.
