If you are renting the RV, then Generator use is "As needed"
ON the road:
If the dash air is not cutting it and the rig is getting HOT.. Fire up the generator and the ROOF air conditioner(s) for additional cooling.. Otherwise, Forget it.
IN the parks: If Shore power fails.. IE< Digger-O'dell is digging for a foundation and digs right through the high tension line feeding the park's transformer (I'm not kidding this actually happened to me) Well,m if it's 90 in the shade, and there ain't no shade. You gonna need that generator.
Or if you have a case of BANG-NO POWER 2 (Thread titled Bang-no power.. In his case a plug failed, but the "2" version happened to me, the "Bang" was a car v/s a Utility pole just outside the park)
Or a himicane comes through (used to call 'em hurricains but this one was named Matthew).
Otherwise.. IT needs to be run 1/2 hour once a month under 1/2 or better load.. You can go 2 months if you need to.. Let the Rental Company do it at their lot.
