He thought the generator quit because he didn't have power in the rig, but apparently it didn't, so he tried to restart it. Starter motors don't usually like that. :) From the driver's seat you can't really hear what's going on back at the generator.

Rick Jay, you are exactly correct. I hope I can squeeze in where my mechanic did last year to put that starter motor on. I will change the oil and filter and go on about a 300 plus round trip and really give it a good look and listen and lay off the starter of course. You are a sharp and intuitive guy, thanks for your help with this. I feel like you have given me great assistance.
