How do you use your generator to charge batteries. The way most of us do it is to connect the trailer shore power cable directly to the generator 120VAC receptacle using a RV30A-15A 18-inch long "DOGBONE" adapter (Walmart). This will allow the trailer on-board converter to charge the battey as it normally would do when you are connected to Shore Power.
If the on board converter is smart-mode charging converter/charger that will go into boost 14.4VDC charging voltage and be at least a 20AMP charging source it should re-charge your trailer battery in three hours or so.
The WFCO converter/chargers are well documented NOT to go into any of the smart-mode charging DC Voltages for many of us that were using them. I changed mine WF8945 converter/charger for a PD9200 series converter/charger.
If you are just using the connector on the front of the Honda Generator that is labeled "DC 12V 8A" to connect directly to your battery then it has been my experience it will take many many days if ever to charge my battery. The only way I have been able to re-charge my batteries in a timely manner is to use smart-mode DC VOLTAGEs as stated in the chart and written description as shown by PIANOTUNA and using an converter/charger that will be producing around 20AMPS of charge per battery to re-charge the battery in the times listed in report.

I connect the generator to the trailer to charge the battery.
