1000w generator needs a smaller 30 to 40 amp converter to operate normal.
1000w probably will not run the microwave and most people need that too.

When my WFCO quit, I specifically replaced my 55a with a 35 amp so I could use a 1000w gen if needed. Although that will extend charging times.
