One more question, I have a battery disconnect switch on the negative leg of the battery cable, at the battery.
Can I use that to disconnect the battery to get the portable running? That would mean that I have the 7300 on and plugged into the generator 30 amp receptacle and the portable plugged into one of the 20 amps on the gen. After a few minutes, then re-connect the battery disconnect, so both the 7300 and the portable are charging (for a while, as you mentioned).
