When our Onan pooped out we purchased two Honda 2000I with a parallel kit. They work great and were half the price of a replacement Onan.
I like having the two portables because I can use them wherever I need them. I can take one or both depending on the need to run our 15,000 BTU AC or other high draw items. I've used them at home when the power was out for two days also at a remote job site to run an electric jack hammer, compressor and saws and at a friends cabin when helping with some repairs...
The extended run tank is a great add on to have.
