Genset carb upkeep:  drain it and/or exercise it? Both?

Generators are a special case....
We all know that if gasoline sits in a carbarator too long bad things happen. of course draining fixes that. Good for lawn mowers. Snow blowers, Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles, Cement mixers, apple presses, and _____ (every kind of engine)

BUT... Generators have other (Electronic) parts that also need exercise from time to time.. What I don't know is how often they need to flex their flexers.

But I'd recommend exercise.
