Here are some recommendations...
- Brand new rig fresh from the dealership
- Remove circuit breaker panel and verify tightness of every set screw in the cabinet
- Persnickity types may want to treat every wire connection with Caig De-Oxit. Reassemble.
- Do the same thing with all wire terminations that do not have cupped screws (underneath the screw head is not flat)
- If using De-Oxit or not, brighten up all aluminum contact areas bu sanding wire brush on older rights. Even Sn tin can get oxidized and turn dull gray.
- There is a reason my 30-year old bus has never once burned a contact or a wire. I am going to purchase a half-pint of D100 and a big bag of Q-tips and long after I am dead the kids will enjoy decades of trouble free service.
