GFCI Question

Yes, everything was working, I was just concerned that the only thing I could find about GFCI was little paper stickers.
I can't imagine why the mfgr would think this outlet would even be on the GFCI circuit or why place the controlling receptacle in such an inaccessible location.

Wow, that is one place most people would not expect to find it. Maybe it will help someone else in the future knowing they have to look in unlikely places.

my gfci outlet is the one outdoors. check it.

If there is an outside recepticle it also should also be protected by the GFI. One of the 3 should be a GFI outlet with a test & reset button or the panel breaker should have a test button and a breaker arm.

if not, either the GFI outlet is somewhere else and you haven't found it, or someone replaced it with a regular outlet.

2 bits says it is an outlet since GFI outlets are much less expensive than a GFI breaker vs. a regular breaker and we all know how trailers are built! Even S&B houses seldom have GFI breakers, usually a GFI outlet

GFCI Circuit breakers







Different MFG. BUT all have a 'test' button.....some will say 'test' and some just have a white or yellow button

GFCI Outlets......some have Red Test button and a Black Reset. Some both buttons are just white







None of those in Power Panel of kitchen/bath area....then they could have been replaced with standard breaker or outlet.
With the labels on the kitchen/bath outlets...suspect circuit breaker was swapped (if no test button on current one labeled GFCI)

Actually that would be a "Test" button on the breaker.

When you press it, the breaker trips.

The existing GFCI outlet protects all the outlets down the line from it.
